The perfection of Sea Oats’ location on Captiva Island, the year-round Southwest Florida sunshine, and the comfort and luxury of a private estate set the stage for a getaway colored by some wonderful onsite and local activities.

The waterfront is a natural base of operations on any Sea Oats stay with luxury accommodations right on the shores of Pine Island Sound’s Roosevelt Channel and a private path leading to a private Gulf-side beach. Spend quiet mornings walking on the beach. The beaches of Captiva and adjoining Sanibel Island are celebrated for their topnotch shelling.

Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are available for tours of the Gulf-side beachfront or slip into the calm bay and exploring the mangrove gorgeousness of Buck Key. (Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins and manatees!)

On the sprawling grounds of the Sea Oats estate, enjoy lighted tennis and a half basketball court, ping-pong, and pickleball—and, of course pool and hot tub. Spend an afternoon fishing from the Sea Oats dock or surf-casting off the beach, or taking a bike ride down to Sanibel. On a quiet afternoon, find board games, electronics, high-definition TVs, and other indoor entertainment at hand.
